TRAINING

The Health Training and Development

The Health Training and Development Department of the National Institute of Health (NIH) Somalia is responsible for strengthening the capacity and skills of health professionals and public health workers through continuous learning, training programs, and workforce development initiatives. The department supports the development of a competent, resilient, and well-prepared health workforce capable of addressing current and emerging public health challenges.

Through collaboration with government institutions, academic organizations, and development partners, the department designs and coordinates training programs in areas such as disease surveillance, emergency preparedness and response, laboratory systems, epidemiology, health leadership, and other priority public health areas.
