The National Institute of Health (NIH) joined the tri-monthly meeting of the Coordination of Health Activities in Somalia on July 30-31, 2023. The meeting aimed to strengthen the collaboration and coordination among health partners in Somalia, a country facing multiple challenges and crises.
The NIH shared its expertise and experience in conducting health research and providing evidence-based guidance for health policies and interventions. The NIH also discussed its ongoing and planned projects in Somalia, such as improving maternal and child health, enhancing disease surveillance and response, and supporting health system strengthening.
