How NIH and Partners Are Advancing PPR Eradication with New Article in Scientific Reports in Nature

The National Institute of Health (NIH) is proud to announce the publication of a new article in Scientific Reports in Nature, a prestigious journal in the field of natural sciences. The article, titled ‘The evaluation of five serological assays in determining seroconversion to peste des petits ruminants virus in typical and atypical hosts’, is a result of the collaborative work of our researchers and partners.

The article provides valuable insights into the diagnosis and surveillance of peste des petits ruminants (PPR), a highly contagious disease that affects sheep, goats and other small ruminants. The article also supports the PPR Global Eradication Programme, an initiative led by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) and the World Organisation for Animal Health (WOAH), which aims to eradicate PPR by 2030.

We congratulate the authors for their outstanding contribution to the scientific community and the global health agenda. You can read the full article here: https://nih.gov.so/wp-content/uploads/2023/12/Scientific-Reports-in-Nature-on-PPR.pdf
