The second session of the FETP cohort-three workshop has been concluded. The workshop was held at the Palms hotel, Mogadishu Somalia from November13-18, 2022. During the sessions, residents cohort three learned about basics of descriptive epidemiology, outbreak investigations, surveillance system overview and evaluation, data management and quality, basic software’s and other essentials of Epidemiology. It was facilitated by members of Ministry of Health and NIH, WHO, SOM-FETP alumni and AFENET technical staff.
The third Cohort of Frontline-FETP demonstrates a strong will of the FMoH to build a resilient and self-reliant public health system with the capacity to detect, investigate and respond to any public health emergency including the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. Following this workshop, residents will return to their work-stations in their states and will begin their fieldwork two activities.
