The Executive Director of the National Institute of Health and National Incident Manager for Elino Health Response, Dr. Hussein Abukar Muhiadin, along with Dr. Ahmed Abdi Adan, the Deputy Director of the Somali Disaster Management Agency (SODMA), held a meeting today to discuss the humanitarian and health challenges arising from #ElNino.
The primary focus was on enhancing rescue efforts and fostering collaboration between the two organizations to effectively respond to threats and assist vulnerable individuals.
They also highlighted the importance of sharing healthcare resources and strengthening cooperation between both sides. Lastly, they agreed to further explore strategies for addressing the health implications caused by #ElNino.
NIH and SoDMA are committed to working together to overcome this crisis and protect public health.
